Overview

Graduate students typically engage in a number of professional endeavors while completing their degrees, including conference presentations, museum internships, and scholarly/professional publications.

They also are encouraged to participate in the Art History Graduate Student Association (ARTH GSA), which promotes academic and professional development among the graduate students of the Art History department. The association helps new students adjust to graduate life while also helping those nearing graduation prepare for their professional careers. The primary concerns of this association are to address pedagogical issues related to our profession, to promote departmental & university service, and to foster graduate student interaction. The ARTH GSA also facilitates communication with faculty and staff to address graduate student concerns. If you are a current graduate student and have not yet joined GSA, please contact the president of the GSA to be added to its listserv and Blackboard page.
