Areas of Study: Fashion Design & Merchandising
We offer a B.F.A. in Fashion Design and a B.A. in Fashion Merchandising and utilize the most up-to-date technology in the industry.
Curriculum is globally based with students being exposed to world fashion, importing/exporting, buying, management, patternmaking, and garment construction.
Our faculty members judge some of the most prestigious international fashion design contests in the world and recent student trips include New York, Paris, Rome and Hong Kong.
How to Apply for Fashion Design, BFA (Bachelor of Fine Arts)
To be considered for entry in the Fashion Design major as a sophomore, all applicants must complete the freshman year Art Foundation Program. Submit a visual portfolio, recommendation form, and completed VCU application.
How to apply for Fashion Merchandising, BA (Bachelor of Arts)
Submit recommendation form and completed VCU application. Fashion Merchandising majors do not go through the Art Foundation Program.
