What is it?
Accessibility is the ability for people to view you site using other methods besides web browsers. These would include screen readers or other devices
Why do I have to do this?
This a mandatory part of the VCU Web Publishing Guidelines. It is also a government law; Section 508, that all state and federal institutions provide equal access to online material.
Accessible websites have other benifits as well. They comply with web standards and generally are better coded.
