This symposium will deal with the evolution of the electronic, magnetic, optical, thermodynamic, catalytic, and structural properties of clusters and nanostructures. The role of interface on the properties of cluster and nanostructure assembled materials will be emphasized. Contributions from the physics, chemistry, materials science, and engineering communities will stress the interdisciplinary aspects of these emerging fields.
