Statue of George Washington

It happened here. From St. John’s Episcopal Church — the host to the Second Virginia Convention in 1775 where Patrick Henry made his famous, “give me liberty or give me death” speech — to the statues of Monument Avenue, history continues to be a major draw to Richmond for visitors and residents alike.
