Location

VCU history and stats
In 1968, the Medical College of Virginia and the Richmond Professional Institute merged to become VCU, the state’s most comprehensive urban university.
Administration
Michael Rao, Ph.D., became VCU’s fifth president and president of the VCU Health System on July 1, 2009, and leads the university community in fulfilling its commitment to access, innovation and outreach.
